What’s NEW?

With the exception of the ‘scheduled’ posts that I typically do, I’ve been sadly neglecting this blog.  I have been crazily busy with four craft shows (the fifth is this weekend), creating new things and of course listing new things.  And then you have to add in Thanksgiving and my daughter’s third birthday…all that equals neglected blog.

Since there’s so many new things I’ll break them down into categories and hopefully tell you about them all in the next few days…  Today I’m going to start with table runners and table toppers.

I’ve had a lot of fun creating table runners lately.  I tend to piece a bunch of them at at the same time and then get to quilting them.  il_430xN_104523132 This Rustic Log Cabin Orphan Block Quilted Table Runner is the end result of an unintentional collaboration.   My sister-in-law Karma must have began creating a log cabin quilt and never finished it.  Years later I found the partially completed blocks in her mom’s stash so I took them home.  I’ve created a few different things including a bag and this table runner.  I think they’ve been great ways to use up the ‘orphan’ blocks.

il_430xN_104787134The next table runner I have to show you is a fun disappearing nine-patch that I called Holiday Twist Quilted Table Runneril_430xN_104900126 The Coffee Clutch Patchwork Table Runner was inspired by the weekly coffee chats I have with my friend Julie.  We switch houses, make a fun breakfast treat and drink coffee while our kids play.  It’s great!il_430xN_104974602My mother-in-law is responsible for this absolutely gorgeous  Swirling Curvy Floral Quilted Table Topper.  She made it as an example for the 2009 Quilts by Barb Quilt Retreat.

il_430xN_105220360I have to give my mother-in-law credit for this gorgeous Whirling Spirals Quilted Table Topper.  She also made it as an example for the 2009 Quilts by Barb Quilt Retreatil_430xN_105575826                   I used a beautiful mixture of Authentic African printed fabric to create this stunning Out of Africa Quilted Table Runner.  Truly a one of a kind.

And…that’s all the new table runners/table toppers that I have for you tonight.
