Themed Thursday - 1920
On Sunday my family will be getting together to celebrate my grandma’s NINETIETH Birthday! She is such an amazing and inspiring lady. My grandma, Grace (aka Mike – another story), is living on her home in the house her husband built that my mom grew up in with her 12 siblings. Yup, my grandma had 13 children. One of my favorite memories is when I told her that I was expecting my second child (now this was just about 9 months that I had my first) and she said to me “Well, it gets easier after the first five.” Her mother died when she was a young child and the stories she tells are just incredible. Grandma has never driven a day in her life and still makes the best chocolate chip cookies and rolls that I’ve ever had.
Here are some finds that are inspired by 1920, the year my “Grams” was born:
antique lace dress flapper style 1920 boudoir custom wedding from labellefairy

Cocktail Ring 1920s Rhinestones from VintageFiligree
Monique - feather headband, headdress, fascinator hair clip or comb inspired by the 20s from PegasusMaiden
I love all prints from FlapperDoodle but this combined my love of hats with the whole 1920 theme I’m doing tonight…
Romona Wears her new Cloche Hat Print from FlapperDoodle
(fyi – FlapperDoodle also offers coloring books – fun for kids and moms!)
I’ll end with a hat I’m dying to add to my collection…
