New Opportunities

I recently started working for a company called Blue Hill By Hand. Now, I’m not making loads and loads of money but I am having fun and I enjoy what I do.

I am a contracted jewelry maker. I pick up a bag full of the supplies I need to make a certain pair of earrings (20 or 3o pairs of those earrings). I make the earrings. I drop the completed earrings off and I pick up a new bag with more earrings.

I really love that this job will be flexible with apple season…I just won’t make any earrings then :) but I’ll be able to start back up when things slow down. Also, when the girls are playing nicely together it’s something I can work on while I watch over them.

So far I’ve made three different styles of earrings:

The first earrings I made were called: Silver Oval Earrings

028I made them in two different colors – turquoise and brilliant blue. 027

The second pair of earrings I created for Blue Hill By Hand were Dreamsicle Earrings: I made them in two different color combinations. 004 006

A fabulous combination of Bronze glass/silver/amazonite - Dreamsicle

007

I personally love the Coral/silver/yellow jade Dreamsicle combination

…something you don’t see too often.

The last variety of earrings that I made are the:

Birchbark Zia Earrings

- Hand-made in the U.S.A.
- Recycled rubber from bicycle tire tubes
- Recycled aluminum
- Birchbark from fallen trees in northern Wisconsin

003

These have been easily my favorites to make…something completely different than I’m used to and I love use of unique supplies to create this stunning look!001

My husband is dropping off my latest completed earrings today. I can’t wait to see what I get to make the next time around!

What do you think of my new ‘job’?

You can either order earrings directly from Blue Hill By Hand’s website or if you are interested in purchasing wholesale quantities you can register by clicking HERE and following the instructions.
