Summer Craftacular – August 15th – Vendor Features
I am really excited that I will be vending at the Summer Craftacular on August 15th at the East Side Club, 2725 Monona Drive, in Madison WI. Normally, this is opening day for apple season but we’re officially opening a day early this year (August 14th) and the family agreed to give me the day off! So, between now and then I’m going to do my best to feature and show you most, if not all, of the vendors you can expect to see at the show. Wish me luck – there are 85 vendors!

Steampunk Adventure Skirt (Short) from techdragon
more about techdragon: As a part-time creator and a full-time seamstress, I have tried to make things as flawless as possible. I graduated from UW-Madison with a B.A. in Costume Technology and have been sewing solo for many years. My clients range from individuals with custom pieces to commercial avenues with distinct guidelines and images. I am happiest when my work reflects my passion, the creation of something new.

Gerbera Goodness - Vintage Findings Dangle Earrings from WhimsyHouse
more about whimsyhouse: I fell in love with Etsy not too long ago and decided I must join in. You can see my stellar shopping record under my previous user name, AngelicRabbit. The Angelic Rabbit was the antiques and gift shop I owned with my mom. I decided my Etsy shop needed it's own name so Whimsy House was born.
I'm a happily married mommy who loves to create with whatever I can get my hands on! I adore vintage treasures and creating with old things.
Booth 5.
more about Rustbelt FiberWerks: My work is utilitarian, intended to be used, and through its use, to create new memories. Daily interaction with high-quality, handmade items elevates our everyday experience, making our condition of living that much better. I don't make my art to hang on a wall, or on a coat rack: it’s to be worn, to be dirtied, to be cleaned and to be cared for. This connection to the item itself honors the spirit in which it was made and the memory of the process. And then after it has reached the end of its usefulness I hope it can be recycled, that it can become something else.

Extra Large Baby Receiving Blanket Animals by Craft Chicks
more about CraftChicks: My passion is to create lovely handmade items using modern and trendy quality fabrics. I love to challenge myself so frequently I find a new project to tackle so check back to see what I've added.

Soup Mug by JennyBlasenPottery
more about JennyBlasenPottery: I first studied pottery as an exchange student in Osaka, Japan. I loved the process so much that I continued taking pottery classes when I returned to the US. After graduation I made my way back to Japan for 3 years and moved on to Hawaii for 4 years and never once touched clay.
It wasn't until my husband and I decided to move back to Wisconsin that I started potting again. After several years of evening classes I decided that it wasn't enough. I joined a local community studio and began spending every free moment in the studio. At the encouragement of potter friend, I began selling my pottery locally and here on Etsy.
I continue to learn something new every time I step into the studio. I like to make functional pieces for everyday use. Some pieces, like my little dishes, are inspired from my time in Japan.

Planetary Pearls – Blue Bead Earrings from LisaFerinDesigns
more about LisaFerinDesigns: I love jewelry! From the time I was little. From the ancient beads in museum displays to the silver necklaces my mother always wore. I started making earrings for my high school friends and never stopped. I learned to carve wax and cast silver and here I am. I am a metal smith who likes to break for beads now and again and a beader with a hankering to get back to the jeweler's bench....My background is in archaeology rather than art (I switched to jewelry making about 12 years ago) and some of the jewelry forms come to me by way of pottery shards, the striation of soil layers or the sharp point of a trowel. Most of my rings and pendants are carved out of wax and then cast. I leave channels in the wax where the second metal will later be soldered in. Some pieces are unique, others I make in limited numbers. I don’t usually make drawings, but let the shape of the jewelry evolve spontaneously as I go. Sometimes I fabricate rather than cast. I am still working on improving my stone-setting skills! When I'm tired of all that, I turn to comfort in beads! Glass, semi-precious, silver and anything else that catches my eye.

Electric Kool-Aid UPCYCLED Farmers Market Tote from greeniebeanrecycle
more about greeniebeanrecycle: greenie bean totes are for the wild at heart. the kindred spirits, wonderlusters, modern day hippies. together, we are radical. in our notions of practicality, reusability, and save the world-isms.
change can happen.
greenie bean is for you who is fascinated by folksy, organic faith in humanity rooted in ever-evolving lust for life. you long to stitch a space for yourself in every growing tradition and grass roots community. for you who holds the dirt of the earth in your tiny palms and feels the beat of your heart whisper, "today is mine and this is ours to share."
