Bump up your brush…bump it up from Beth Eaton Pottery
More about Beth Eaton Pottery :
I majored in ceramic at UWMilwaukee. After graduation in 1999 I got a job at Lincoln art Pottery. There I received a free studio in exchange for keeping regular store hours. I worked on pottery from 10am-5pm monday-friday. This was just the discipline I needed to find my hand in my art. I worked hard, experimented and got to know my suppliers materials. By 2002 I knew what I was doing just in time to become a mom. I was a mom in a very dirty studio. Luckily, my home had no garage. We built a garage/studio in 2002 and that is were I have been working for the last 5 years.
I do a few local art fairs. I also teach kids classes in my backyard during the summer/fall.
If your in the area you can stop by for my studio clean up and seconds sale. It is held every year on the second Saturday of July.

Elegant Embrace Peacock and Owl Feather Fascinator from Chapeaux Noir
More about Chapeaux Noir:
Chapeaux Noir originated from a basic need for fashion forward hair accessories with an alternative twist. What started as a personal project turned into much more. After receiving much positive feedback we decided to make them widely available. So here we are!
Each creation is truly one of a kind and though we are able to reproduce them, like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike.

Needle felted wool nesting bowls with Ginkgo Leaves from PurpleMoonFibers
I have had a love affair with giving form to raw wool since first learning to use a drop spindle in college. Over the years I have experimented with spinning, knitting, weaving and now felting. While I use both wet and dry felting techniques, my passion is needle felting. This involves using a very sharp needle with barbs on the shaft to lock the wool fibers together, forming felt.
I find a great deal of freedom and creativity in the process.
There is a great joy in taking ordinary objects from nature and giving them personalities as a face is created. It is a pleasure to see how unique each and every piece is, even starting from the same base shape. Some projects change midstream as the personality of the face evolves
Needle felting came into my life in 2004 after a trip to Rainbow Fleece Farm in New Glarus, WI. In the beginning I experimented on my own and learned from books. I began by creating toys for my two children and as gifts for friends. Then the 2006 felting symposium offered a wonderful range of gifted instructors and the creative process broadened. I became even more immersed in the creative process later that year as I healed from the death of my father. It became an amazing outlet for me to channel my energies and nurture my soul
I live on the near-east side of Madison, WI with my partner, two children and four guinea pigs. In addition to felting I enjoy being a stay-at-home mom, part time childcare provider, and Reiki practitioner.
If you missed out on the first artist features make sure you head back to Volume I, Volume II, Volume III, Volume IV,Volume V, Volume VI, Volume VII, Volume VIII and Volume IX.
